Coachella Masonic Lodge Raising Future Leaders of Coachella

Faculty Student Appreciation Awards 2016

Coachella Lodge #476 broke new ground with it's first ever Faculty Student Appreciation awards. Schools local to the Coachella Valley awarded their most deserving faculty members and students for this award. Twenty three students and educators were awarded during the ceremony. The Thomas Jefferson School band was in attendance to play throughout the event. The lodge room was packed with teachers, students, parents and families. It was a great time and afterwards attendees were treated to a delicious lasagna dinner catered by Brother Hector Minnion.

Many thanks to the committee and Wor Fred McCubbin for spearheading this great event. Kudos to our high desert brothers at Yucca Lodge for inspiring Coachella Lodge to pursue such a great program. We look forward to making this an annual event for the community!

Grand Masters Visit April 2016

This month Coachella Lodge had a very special visit from the Grand Master of California, David Perry. Along with the Grand Master we were able to host his wife, a number of Grand Lodge officers, our brothers and guests. The Eastern Star was present to help decorate and setup the dining hall. A big thanks to Worthy Matron Jacqueline McDermot and her creative use of children's books to honor the Raising-A-Reader program. Kudos to our Junior Warden Brother Bernard Shannon as he undertook the monumental task of feeding everyone with exquisite beef, chicken and vegetarian dishes. Recognition and thanks to our youth orders the Demolay and Job's Daughters who were present to represent their orders then help with setup, serving and cleanup. A big thanks to all the brothers who came together to make this a big success. This was indeed an excellent milestone achievement for Coachella Lodge #476 and we look forward to Grand Master David Perry visiting our lodge again in August to deliver his Masonic Education series.

Coachella Lodge Tile Fundraiser - Huge Success!

The first ever Coachella Lodge Tile Fundraiser is a huge success!

Thanks to everyone's efforts, we were able to sell around 75 tiles! These tiles have been ordered and will be going up soon in our dining hall as a testament to everyone who has helped donate to the cause of supporting the Lodge and repairing the building. A big thank you goes to Bro. David Hertzing who spear headed this operation and has done the contracting work in the dining hall where the tiles will be placed.

Tile Fundraiser Huge Success

We will continue to take orders for tiles for our next order.

Tiles are only $100 and you can personalize them with three lines of text (20 characters per line without clipart, 15 characters per line with clipart). They will be mounted to the wall within the main dining hallway.

Want to get started? Follow these steps...

1) Fill out Tile Order Form. We now have a Scottish Rite clipart available for our tiles. Please choose clipart #11 or ask for the Scottish Rite emblem.  You can download the PDF by clicking here.

2) Send in your payment. You may pay with a check made out to "Coachella Lodge #476" or pay online by using the Paypal button. NOTE paying online includes Paypal fee.

Contact Brother Dave Hertzing at dhertzing@rocketmail.com for more information.

Rusty Trowel - Fantastic Evening

Coachella Lodge held it's first Rusty Trowel program - with great success! Thanks to the collaboration with Palm Springs Lodge and the Rusty Trowel committee, we were able to host over 120 masons and visitors at our lodge. Many of these masons had not been in lodge for decades. The Rusty Trowel program was a great way for them to get reacquainted with lodge. For family and visitors, there was a great program on famous masons and the Coachella Lodge Masonic Family. Thanks go out to all those involved including our concordant bodies and youth groups.
